Lyness Suite, as a self-contained or bed and breakfast accommodation, is a luxurious and romantic retreat with water views over the Kerikeri Inlet and our beautiful gardens. Lyness Suite has a 1920’s old world feel with lovely tongue and groove wood-lined walls, ceiling fan, a polished rimu floor, and open fireplace.
There is a super-king size bed (or 2 king-singles) at one end of the room, with a seating area in front of the fire and dining table at the other end. The suite has a large ensuite with spa bath for 2, walk in tiled shower, heated towel rail, bathrobes, and under floor heating, all done in elegant black and white tiles.
The kitchenette has a rimu benchtop with a 2 burner electric hob, fridge, and microwave. The suite has lead light windows all across the front of the room maximizing the views and has a private verandah with a barbecue and outside seating. There is a stereo, TV, DVD player, books on the region, plus high speed wireless internet available.
Lyness Suite also makes the perfect destination for that special occasion or for a relaxing haven for your holiday. In winter, enjoy the crackling fire and soak in the spabath, or in our long summer season, sit on the verandah delighting in the tranquil surroundings.
It is located in a separate wing of our historic homestead, Strathbrae, with its own private entrance. In addition, when booking Lyness Suite, there is the availability of a 2nd bedroom which can accommodate an extra 2 guests. It has its own private ensuite bathroom with under-floor heating and heated towel rail and either a super king sized bed or 2 king singles. French doors open onto a private deck and garden. It is located in the same wing as Lyness Suite, just further down the hall.
